“Just as Mike describes, I was looking to do a float of the Bow River to get an education on how to fish the river. After floating from Policeman’s to Carseland, I had hooked into at least a couple dozen rainbows/browns. There was one brown that was notably fat, and put up a tremendous battle. Anyways, I learned a lot on how to cast properly, how to read the river, as well as tackle selection. Most importantly, Mike put me on to a lot of fish. The next day, I tried a little bit of shore fishing along the Bow in Calgary.
I remember what Mike taught me about reading the water and spinner selection, and sure enough I had a trout on the line within my first ten casts! If you’re looking for a good time, good scenery and great fishing, definitely give Mike’s Bow River float trip a try. It’s a great way to spend a day.”
