Gone Fishing – Crawling Valley

The walleye here at Crawling Valley are very hard fighters and the first fish today fell into this category. I took my time with the fish and got him to shore, gently removed the barbless hook from his mouth and quickly snapped a photo. Back into the reservoir he goes to fight another day as this fishery is catch and release only. Some other bait’s that work well here is leaches, worms, nitro worms and smelts. So whatever you prefer to use for bait here it’s going to work. Tom caught his first walleye and was tickled pink. All in all a great day out at Crawling Valley.
