Fishing Trips- Bow River

Hello to all you fishermen and women out there. It’s now September 13, 2006 and the Brown trout fishing has kicked into high gear here in Alberta. I fished on Sunday of last weekend and was very successful out on the Bow River once again. I was using the Blue Fox Minnow Spinner in the black and gold color combination. The big Brown’s seem to love this color scheme and I caught the biggest Brown of year so far, a 28 inch monster. I was casting into the bank and retrieving it into the boat. No fancy tricks just letting it work its magic. Out of nowhere he completely hammers the middle hook and I am able to get him netted and into the boat.

    Sounds Like a Nice Trout. Any pics?

  2. Was a huge trout Ted, but unfortunatly as I was measuring the brute on the side of the boat, he gave two big kicks and was way too powerful to hold on to. He flopped back into the water and was gone.
