Gone Fishing- Bow River

Hello all you die hard fisherman out there. I’m happy to report that the fishing on the Bow River is absolutely awesome right now. I do not know of any other river in the world that in an eight hour span, you can catch 50-60 trout. That’s how many fish I caught, my friend big Tom caught as many or more. He has fished all over Canada and has even guided on some big lakes and river systems in Ontario. Tom pretty much summed it up when he said to me “that’s the most fish I have ever caught in one day, this river is unbelievable”. Well Tom I would have to agree with you, I have never caught that many fish in one day either. Oh wait a minute, there was this time last year just after the flood that I caught 50 fish in one day, and then there was this time a couple of days ago, well I think you get the idea.

Well just moved to Alberta this is the best fishing i have had in along time. Not since i was a kid when lakes and rivers weren,t affected by all the acid rain and other pollutions have i caught so many fish. It is really heart warming to see a nice healthy fish population in a river (the Bow) that is just so beautiful to float down never mind catching the big lunkers.A true bonus to living in Alberta awesome just an unreal fishery.

  1. Not only is the Bow River one of the best trout rivers in the western half of the North American continent, Mike Robertson is one of the more knowledgeable spin and bait casters to fish this kind of river system. Well-worth your while to contact him.

  2. Thank you Dwayne, that is very nice of you to say. I am honored by those kind words. If you want large trout day or night, rain or shine, summer or winter, this is the place you have been looking for all these years !!!!

Please come and try it for yourself, we will make you a believer.

    ~Mike.
